Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander reports that EVAN M. SHATLAW, 18 YOA of Lead Hill, was arrested on 08/09/24 and charged with Rape, a Class "Y" Felony. SHATLAW was booked into the Marion County Detention Center where he remains with a bond set at $25,000. The Sheriff stated the juvenile victim reported the incident to the Marion County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) on September 16, 2023. Investigators determined the incident occurred on November 4, 2021, and the victim was thirteen (13) years old when the alleged incident occurred. The Boone County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) assisted in locating and apprehending the suspect.
