Sheriff Gregg Alexander reports that Marion County Detention Center (MCDC) Jail Administrator Cassie Foster recently completed Jail Administrators certification training this week in Benton. The forty (40) hour course was taught by instructors from the Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training (CLEST) at their Benton campus and prepares Jail Administrators to operate and manage a detention center as part of the criminal justice system, with an emphasis on staff retention, crisis management, medical issues, population management, inmate rights, available resources, budget management, and leadership. Foster has worked for Marion County since 2019.
