MARION COUNTY DEPUTIES COMPLETE INSTRUCTOR DEVELOPMENT COURSE
09/27/2024
Sheriff Gregg Alexander reports the Marion County Sheriff's Office and Arkansas State University Mountain Home sponsored a Public Safety Instructor Development course this week on the ASUMH campus. Alexander stated instructors from the Northwest and Central Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy campuses traveled to Mountain Home to teach the class which trains and certifies law enforcement officers as public safety instructors. This certification allows these deputies to train other law enforcement officers and also serves as a prerequisite for other training certifications such as firearms instructor training. Sheriff Alexander added that sponsoring the training on the ASUMH campus saves travel expenses and allows more deputies to attend training events.
The deputies attending the training from the Marion County Sheriff's Office were Deputy Brett Castle, Deputy Tanner Anderson, Deputy Ed Heuchelin, Sergeant Mark Lee, Lieutenant Silas Gibson, and Lieutenant Cassie Foster.
