Sheriff Gregg Alexander reports that deputies responded to a call for assistance from two (2) fisherman after their boat ran aground on Bull Shoals Lake near Ozark Isle and were stranded. Sheriff Alexander stated a call came in from a fisherman at approximately 9:15P on Tuesday evening, reporting his boat had run aground in the Ozark Isle area of Bull Shoals Lake. Two (2) deputies were dispatched and responded to the area in the Sheriff's Office boat. The deputies located both men and brought them back to the Bull Shoals Boat Dock. The boat received moderate damage and was left at the scene until it could be removed and towed back to the marina. Neither of the fishermen were injured. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers were notified, but did not respond. The two (2) fishermen were identified as DENNIS CATE and RICK GAGE of Jonesboro.
