SEARCH FOR BULL SHOALS MAN/MURDER SUSPECT

Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander reports investigators from the Sheriff's Office, Arkansas State Police, and the Bull Shoals Police department are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at a residence in Bull Shoals this morning. Sheriff Alexander is not releasing the name of the victim pending notification of next of kin, but he advises Investigators are searching for BROOKS DEAN DUE, W/M, DOB: 05/10/1975. Due is 6'1" tall and weighs approximately 165 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, and may be wearing glasses. DUE may also be clean shaven or have a shorter beard than appears in the photograph. DUE was last seen wearing a light-colored shirt and hat. Arrest Warrants for DUE have been issued for First Degree Murder and Violation of a Protection Order. DUE is believed to be driving a 2013 Black, Dodge Avenger, with an Arkansas Disabled license plate 305607.
Sheriff Alexander stated that while authorities are searching for DUE in both Marion and Baxter counties, they are not searching a specific area or location. The Sheriff is asking the public to contact 911 or the Marion County Sheriff's Office (870.449.4236) if they see DUE or his vehicle. The Sheriff states DUE is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached by civilians. Photographs of DUE and his vehicle have been attached for publication.
